Proposal for Portfolio
The idea for my portfolio is based on the relationship of how the sun and the moon make certain natural and unnatural settings appear. In each of my pictures, a reoccurring element will be a heavenly body such as a sun or moon. Some pictures will be abstract and others will not. There will be no photo based pictures, only paintings as I feel that working from a blank canvas gives an artist more liberty. Several pictures I have already drawn will be featured in the portfolio as well as some new ones.

Color correction...?

Okay, time for honesty, I'm not an impressive color correctionist. The original photos don't look too different from the ones I corrected. The changes are slight at best but it adds a certain richness to them. I don't really remember what I did because I didn't exactly do much. That said, please enjoy the photos.

YES! YES!

Finally some winning!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QS0q3mGPGg <--- Listen to it while viewing.

Okay so I did some fiddling around with lines and painting. (10x easier than photomanipulation and more creative IMHO) I needed some help with layers and effects from my girlfriend again but she helped. (Thank God or these wouldn't look even half as nice.) Anyway, without further adieu (Which actually means goodbye, funnily enough) I present to you these pictures.

The first one I actually finished second. I used a grass tool and I got this really cool lunar light effect on the grass for some reason. I rolled with it, as I wasn't in the mood to argue with photoshoppe. I made the moon black, because I was tired of white, and used a really dark purple to color the sky giving it an eerie one. I was also tired of white stars, so I made those black too cause I thought it looked cooler. Ya know, jazzin it up some. And the cloud? Well, the cloud is just cloud. I used the lines to help me place it though. The second one was the original idea. I wanted to create pattern using the lines and then making an part of the pattern the inverse of the original color. So I did, but under the loving advice of Dr. Sanders I was instructed to create a focus of the picture. That focus is the moon which I added filters and lighting effect too. I don't know. I have an unhealthy obsession with the moon and have had one after beating Majora's Mask. Call me crazy. I dunno. But it worked.

Photo... Manipulation?

Okay That ^^^... That's my abstract picture. You can see that I learned a few more tricks from my girlfriend as she showed me how to add these things in and edit opacity. She basically gave me a quick review of everything we learned.  Mostly because I learn better by doing than watching. Still had some issues though.
This one ^^^ is my realistic photo. Given what I had to work with all I really could do was add a border to the picture due to the lack of macro photos. I regret nothing. I create as few men dare to dream! Besides, given the fact that the board is actually hanging from the wall I'd say I did a pretty good job making it look like its lying flat. The one below this is my picture of whatever. I used ummm crops I guess of stuff from my other two and made a paradoxical picture frame. That's it for this week. Stay tuned for more heaping humps of WIPs and weeps as I learn more tricks.
